LEADERSHIP ESSENTIALS — YEAR-END EDITION (2025)

A Year of Building Leaders. A Year of Breakthrough. A Year of Hope.

As 2025 comes to a close, I want to pause and say this from the bottom of my heart:

Thank you.

Thank you for leading faithfully. Thank you for showing up when it’s hard. Thank you for staying in the fight, loving your people, and building God’s house with integrity, courage, and the long view in mind.

This year, Churchelp was able to serve over 400 pastors across Canada—through weekly resources, coaching, webinars, our Pastors Gathering, and ministry in local churches. Every email, every conversation, every moment of equipping… it has been one of the greatest joys of my ministry.

WHAT GOD BUILT IN 2025

1. Project Bluebird — A New Pathway for Bi-Vocational Pastors

This year marked the launch of Project Bluebird, our one-year learning cohort for bi-vocational ministers, led by Dr. David McGrew.

Through one-on-one coaching, monthly online classes, reading, writing, and spiritual formation, pastors across Canada are being strengthened, equipped, and sustained in their calling. It has been transformative—and this is only the beginning.

2. Churchelp Health Benefits — Affordable Coverage for Ministry Families

In 2025 we also launched the Churchelp Health Benefits Plan, and the response has exceeded every expectation.

We now have over 60 pastors, ministry families, and Christian businesses enrolled—finally accessing affordable, comprehensive benefits that were previously out of reach.

This isn’t just a program.

This is dignity.

This is sustainability.

This is Kingdom-minded stewardship.

Enrollment is open—and it would be an honour to serve your church or ministry as well.

3. The Hope Habit — A Message for This Cultural Moment

It was also a personal joy to release my book, The Hope Habit—a field guide for cultivating hard hope in a broken world. Hope isn’t passive. It isn’t cute. It isn’t soft.

Hope is holy defiance.

Hope takes work.

Hope is a habit.

In December, we also released the Hope Habit 21-Day Devotional, designed to help believers build rhythms of gratitude, forgiveness, prayer, and persistent hope.

And in 2026, I want to sew the FREE Hope Habit Small Group Curriculum into your church—a full ready-to-go discipleship tool for your teams, groups, and congregation.

I’m thrilled to announce that The Hope Habit 21 Day Devotional is officially here! This has been a project born in prayer, shaped through real conversations, and written with one goal in mind—to help you build a daily rhythm of hope that carries you into 2026 anchored, strengthened, and full of expectation. Each day is short, practical, and intentionally crafted to speak life into your soul. Whether you’re stepping into a new season, fighting for hope, or simply wanting to draw closer to Jesus, this devotional is for you. I can’t wait for you to hold it, read it, and let God breathe fresh hope into your days!

INTRODUCING: BREAKTHROUGH NIGHTS (2026)

Next year we are launching something I am deeply expectant about:

BREAKTHROUGH NIGHTS

Nights of ministry featuring myself, Saints Worship, and students from our Ministry School!

These nights carry a simple focus:

  • The authority of the believer.

  • The presence of God.

  • Personal ministry.

  • Signs, wonders, and breakthrough.

And here’s the part pastors can hardly believe:

These nights are FREE for your church.

We cover our travel and ministry costs.

We simply receive an offering.

We are stepping out by faith, believing God has called us to minister from coast to coast across Canada.

If your church is hungry for a move of God, I would love to bring a BREAKTHROUGH NIGHT to your region! Want to connect about a BREAKTHROUGH NIGHT in your city? Reply to this email!

A SEED FOR 2026

In 2025, Churchelp was able to come alongside three churches in crisis, bringing stability, guidance, and pastoral care—at no cost to them.

This is why Churchelp exists.

And as we move toward 2026, I wonder if you would consider sowing a financial seed into this ministry—helping us strengthen pastors, serve churches, launch new ministry initiatives, and continue offering support to churches who simply cannot afford it.

Together, I believe we can:

  • Build the Church in Canada

  • Develop strong, Spirit-filled leaders

  • Help ministers not only start strong but finish well

THANK YOU

Thank you for allowing me into your life every Wednesday.

Leadership Essentials has become one of the highlights of my week, and I’m grateful for every one of you.

Here’s to 2026—a year marked by the Spirit of God, the advancement of His Kingdom, and the strengthening of leaders across our nation.

With faith and expectation,

PS… I also want to take a moment to honour Eric and Sue Moland from All Insurance. Their friendship and partnership mean the world to Desiree and me. Because of their heart for the local church and for the leaders who carry it, we were able to serve pastors, leaders, and churches across both Canada and Europe this year. Their generosity has opened doors, lifted burdens, and strengthened ministries in ways most people will never see.

They are an incredible gift—and I know they can help you and your church as well.
