Project Bluebird: A One-Year Leadership Accelerator for Bi-Vocational Pastors
Grow in Your Calling. Multiply Your Impact. Earn Graduate Credits.
In North America, the median church hosts about 60 regular worshipers each week, with over 59% of congregations averaging fewer than 100 attendees. These small churches are the backbone of faith communities, often led by pastors who juggle ministry with additional employment. Recent studies indicate that approximately 35% of pastors are bi-vocational, and this number is on the rise as congregations face financial constraints and shifting demographics.
Despite their critical role, bi-vocational pastors frequently lack access to tailored resources and support systems that address their unique challenges. Project Bluebird is here to change that. This year-long leadership cohort is specifically designed to empower bi-vocational pastors, offering practical tools, spiritual formation, and graduate-level education through our partnership with Northwind Seminary. Led by Dr. David McGrew, Project Bluebird aims to equip these dedicated leaders to thrive in their dual roles and make a lasting impact in their communities.
