The tragic loss of Charlie Kirk is more than just a moment of grief—it’s a cultural turning point. It forces every leader, pastor, and follower of Jesus to ask the question: What do we do now? Where do we go from here?
The answer is not complicated, but it will require courage, conviction, and clarity.
1. The Great Secular Experiment Has Failed
For decades, our culture has tried to convince us that life without Jesus is enough. That if people just pursue their truth, redefine morality, and chase pleasure, they will finally be fulfilled. But the results are in—and the secular experiment has collapsed.
Generation Z is showing us this clearly. They’ve been told since birth that if they throw off restraint, they will find freedom. But instead of joy, they’ve found despair. Instead of freedom, they’ve found chains.
And now, there is a quiet but growing hunger. Gen Z is rejecting the empty promises of culture and turning toward Christ. Because deep down, they know what Ecclesiastes 3:11 declares: “God has placed eternity in the human heart.” Nothing less than God Himself can satisfy the soul.
2. It’s Time to Be Bold
The church cannot afford to be timid in this hour. A.W. Tozer said it best: “A terrified world needs a fearless church.”
That means we must preach the Gospel, not water it down. We must call people to repentance, not just to inspiration. We must extend the invitation to salvation—every single week.
Pastor, don’t wait for the “big day.” Don’t save altar calls for special events. This is the moment to go all in.
Pro Tip: Even if you don’t see weekly salvation decisions, you’re planting a seed of expectation in your people. You’re shaping a culture that says: This house is about souls. This house is about eternity. And in due season, the harvest will come.
3. This Is a Spiritual Battle
Let’s be clear: what we’re facing is not primarily cultural, political, or generational. It is spiritual.
Ephesians 6:12 reminds us: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
That means we don’t fight with human arguments alone. We fight on our knees in prayer. We fight by lifting high the name of Jesus. We fight by gathering our people to pray, by hosting evangelistic services, by personally pressing into His presence until revival burns in our bones.
This is not a season for casual Christianity—it is a season for radical pursuit of Jesus.
