Every year, Easter rolls in with a familiar pressure.
Do more.
Plan more.
Promote more.
Maximize the moment.
And to be fair—that instinct isn’t wrong. Easter is one of the most significant opportunities we have all year. Studies consistently show that around 70–80% of people say they would attend church if personally invited on Easter, yet only a small percentage actually receive an invitation. That means the harvest is real. The moment matters.
So yes—run the outreach.
Plan the service.
Create the space.
But let’s not miss the greater opportunity hiding underneath all the activity.
Because Easter was never meant to just be well-produced.
It was meant to be power-filled.
It’s possible to have full auditoriums… and empty altars.
It’s possible to execute a flawless service… and leave no room for God to move.
This is the tension.
We prepare like it depends on us.
But we pray like it depends on Him.
Before you add another event to the calendar, ask a different question:
Are we prayed up?
Are we expectant?
Are we carrying the kind of faith that makes space for miracles?
The resurrection of Jesus wasn’t symbolic.
It was power.
And that same power is still available today.
So yes—work hard.
Serve your city well.
Create an environment where people feel seen and welcomed.
But don’t stop there.
Make room for an altar call.
Pray for the sick.
Believe for freedom, healing, and transformation in real time.
This Easter, let’s not just talk about resurrection.
Let’s live in resurrection power.
Because the goal isn’t just to gather a crowd.
It’s to see lives changed by the living Christ.
And maybe—just maybe—the most impactful thing you do this Easter… isn’t something you add.
It’s the space you make for Jesus to move.

I’m going to be on Vancouver Island next week! If you are in the area, come and join me for two incredible nights of Breakthrough!
